Thy Kingdom Come – Prayer Initiative – Mt Charles and Par

Mount Charles – The Kingdom Come is a worldwide initiative, in which Christians are called to pray for the nine days between Ascension Day and Pentecost.  We are invited to pray for God’s Spirit to move within the Church, helping us to pay attention to how God is speaking to us today and equipping us to share God’s love with others.

All who believe in the power of prayer are warmly invited to meet together at Bridge 49 (next door to Mount Charles Methodist Church) for half an hour from 5.30 pm on any or every day between Friday 31st May and Saturday 8th June inclusive.  (In the church on Wednesday 5th June.)

If you would like prayer for a person or situation that concerns you, please feel free to e-mail in confidence to prayers.[email protected]com or leave a note in the Prayer Box on the railings by the entrance to the church.

Par – Par District Churches Together are also meeting for Thy Kingdom Come prayer at St Blaise Anglican church at 10am for half an hour, every day from Ascension Day Thursday 30th May until Saturday 8th June.
This is apart from Sunday 2nd June when there will be a service at 9.30 at St Blaise to ask for blessing on the Make Lunch initiative, serving food to schoolchildren during the summer holidays at St Blaise church. All are welcome to both.
