After the success of last year we are putting on another Twelfth Night (Jan 5th) Folk-Carol Concert – this time at Madron Church near Penzance.
This is a tremendously worthwhile event – lovely music, half of it of Cornish origin – some really moving carols – a strong Gospel message – plus a bit of dancing and dressing up – some humorous pieces –- nice refreshments – a high standard of performance (half of the orchestra are professionals) – and all in a good cause which is to raise funds for the neglected Christian and Yazidi refugees. There is no charge for entry.
We can assure older people that the Church will be warm – and there is good parking nearby but people are strongly advised to car-share as we expect more than 250 people to attend.
Last year there was a very strong sense of the Spirit’s presence; we hope that you can join us and make this a truly blessed event both for those who attend and those whom we are seeking to serve.
Wishing you every blessing this Christmas.
